Dear eNews friends and church family,

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. - Ephesians 6:10

Welcome to our last and final 3 days of Prayer and Fasting for 2023! It is still November, but we’ve brought it forward this time so that we can enter the Christmas month full of joy and big expectations. (But as we have done through the year - fast over this week with the days that work best for you).

It’s been a remarkable year and it’s not over yet!

We will have fasted and prayed 40 days this year with the full and deliberate intention of making God our centre, His power our supply, His grace our life, and His love our passion.

Forty is one of those significant numbers in the Bible. It speaks of:

Judgment (on everything that holds us back)
A new generation emerging
A new season ahead

After 40 days of prayer and fasting in the backside of the desert, Jesus emerged as the victor over the devil, stating and demonstrating that the power of the Holy Spirit was on Him.

Today’s verse was written by Paul at the end of Ephesians. This epistle talks more about all that God has done for us than any other. Then having said all that he concludes by telling us Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.

I just love the way the Passion translation puts it-

Be supernaturally infused with strength through your life-union with the Lord Jesus. Stand victorious with the force of his explosive power flowing in and through you.

And that is exactly what we intend to do. Hundreds of people of all ages have come to know Jesus this year. Including our kids and youth and even our neighbors in their early eighties.

God is on the move - get right in there with Him!
