Dear e-News friends and church members,

Unforced Rhythms of Grace

Life is full of rhythms. Healthy hearts beat to a steady rhythm, the earth revolves around the sun in a very predictable 365 days, the earth rotates on its axis in 24 hours, creating day and night and the seasons we experience. We love the rhythm in music - we go looking for it. Recognising that we enjoy different rhythms on different days or when in different moods.None of these things have changed whilst the world has been in utter chaos, multiple lockdown’s, and unpredictable futures. Steady life-giving rhythms have been ongoing, unstoppable, and it will be so at least until God calls time, which He will one day do!But there is a solid, strong rhythm in grace. This statement ‘unforced rhythms of grace’ comes from Matthew 11:29 in the Message Bible. We also read:"And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work"- 2 Corinthians 9:8Paul found the greatest grace at the time of his greatest challenge. Mary Magdalene found grace at her most helpless and desperate point, Jesus met her possessed with 7 demons and left her free and worshipping. Spurgeon commenting on this said, 'grace found her a maniac and left her a minister.'As this incredibly difficult season comes to an end and life looks like it will start to return to some normality, we should remember that the same grace that has sustained us up to now is already waiting for us up ahead. Join me Sunday as I share on how to keep in step with the unforced rhythms of grace.

We intend to hold in-person meetings on Easter Sunday using both our buildings in Glasgow, numbers will be limited due to covid regulations - but it’s a start.

Church online will continue on into the foreseeable future.Watch the website for further information and how to reserve your space for our in-person meetings. Also, on Easter Saturday night, we have a very special broadcast, the commissioning service of last year’s Destiny College students with a full rendition of Romans 8. Please do attend online in full support of these amazing people who have thrived not just survived a year like no other. We are going to be celebrating the One Year Anniversary of church online, and one year of week in week out breaking of bread together. Big thanks to all the various teams who have made all of this happen. Look forward to seeing you over the weekend. We love you guys,Andrew & Sue
