Dear eNews Friends & Family,

For such a time as this

This week has been like no other in our recent history! In one week we have had the appointment of a new Prime Minister and a new sovereign. The times are changing. The nation mourns the loss of our beloved Queen, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Her devotion to service, her strength and stability in very unsure times, and her boldness in the declaration of her faith in Jesus will all be greatly missedWe now pray for her family and for King Charles III as he ascends to the throne. For us as Christians it is imperative that we are very aware of the moment in which we find ourselves. And like Those words once spoken to another Queen - Esther, we are here for such a time as this. The world is about to enter a very turbulent time. Everything we have known as dependable and reliable is being shaken and tested. Let’s heed these words from Jude:

“keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting anxiously for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life.”‭‭Jude‬ ‭1:21‬

Jude, like James was Jesus’ half brother. Born to Mary & Joseph. He did not believe that Jesus was the Son of God until after the resurrection. Until the times changed.Let’s keep ourselves in that love, and focus with fresh expectation on our eternal hope, living lives, as Her Majesty did, of devotion and service.Nothing here on earth will pass into eternity except our love and relationship with Jesus. Jude also writes that we should build up ourselves in our most Holy faith. We do this by building on Gods’ unshakable Word, walking in the dynamic of the Holy Spirit and position ourselves firmly within the church family.Whilst everything we might have previously known will be shaken, our lives are built, just like words of that beautiful hymn says, on nothing less than ‘Jesus’ blood and righteousness’.We remain, prayerful and vigilant, and ready to witness and receive those destined for salvation. We must pray for our new King and our Prime Minister, They will need wisdom like no other leaders in recent times.May they truly know God and lead and govern in his ways.God save our King.We love you family,Andrew & Sue
