Our 2025 Confession

Practical Advice: Pray and speak this over yourself and your family throughout the year.

“Now unto Him that is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us”

- Ephesians 3:20

Creating by Confessing

As God created this world by speaking out His word, we are also encouraged to create our world by speaking out His word; we call this ‘our confession’. These words create the world around us.

“Words kill, words give life; they’re either poison or fruit-you choose.”

-Proverbs 18:21 MSG

“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.”

-Hebrews 10:23

Our confession is in two parts:

1. Personal 2. Corporate church

A key component of our year will be a ‘running verse’ that God gives us for the year ahead. This is going to be our running verse for 2025.:

“Now unto Him that is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us” - Ephesians 3:20

Our Personal Confession

With a grateful and thankful heart, I speak out my confession into this year ahead. I determine at the outset of this year to seek God’s knowable presence with all my heart, submit to His rule over my life and always believe that He is with me, in me and He is for me.

“For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you, (say your name) nor will I ever forsake you.’”

-Hebrews 13:5

I confess my belief in the superior name, the almighty power and the abundant ability of the Lord my God to actively engage in all areas of my life this year since Jesus is my Lord.

“that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth.”

-Philippians 2:10

I confess that His Spirit who lives within me will empower me to walk in life-giving choices, patterns and routines and overcome death-producing habits and a negative lifestyle.

“I (say your name) can do all things through Christ who strengthens me".”

-Philippians 4:13

I confess that God is intentional about my prosperity, protection, and well-being.

“For I know the plans I have for you, (say your name) declares the Lord, plans to prosper you (say your name) and not to harm you, plans to give you (say your name) hope and a future.”

-Jeremiah 29:11

I readily acknowledge my utter dependency on Him, He is my source, life, and supplier. I will not be anxious or fearful. I will return the tithe, bring in the offering and walk in blessing that I might bless others.

For married people

I confess my commitment to my marriage and my family, to love my spouse as Jesus loves the Church. I look for and receive God’s love in me and His wisdom through me to enrich our marriage more than ever before.

“However, let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.”

-Ephesians 5:33

For single people

I confess my every need of fulfilment is found in Christ alone, and I will keep myself pure until and if, God brings His choice of partner into my life. I confess that I am uniquely made, created intentionally in this body for a divine purpose.

“I praise you because I (say your name) am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”

-Psalm 139:14

I confess that this year I will grow in grace, move on in my destiny and increase in knowing who I am in Christ.

“He made Him who knew no sin to be sin in our behalf so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”

-2 Corinthians 5:21

I confess that in this year ahead I will be audacious with my faith, bold in my prayers and increasingly confident that God can do awesome things through ordinary people like me.

“But unto every one of us, including me (say your name) is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.”

-Ephesians 4:7

Our Corporate Confession As A Church

We shall expect more souls saved in 2025 than in any previous year.

We will see more people baptised than in any previous year.

We will see more people added than in any previous year.

“For I am with you (Destiny Church), and no one is going to attack you and harm you, because I have many people in this city.” -Acts 18:10

We shall believe that God will release for us this year, lands and buildings, a new home and new facilities.”

And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.”

-Philippians 4:19

We will ask God for boldness, and we WILL see the Holy Spirit move with us and through us bringing healing and life into a lost and hurting world.

“Now Lord… enable your servants (Destiny Church), to speak your Word with great boldness. Stretch out your hand to heal and perform signs and wonders through the name of your Holy servant Jesus.”

-Acts 4: 29-30

We will live to give, allowing the provisions of God to come to us and through us, which will result in supernatural increase in His house.

“Now He who supplies seed to the Sower (that’s me, and say your name) and bread for food will also supply and increase MY store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of MY righteousness.”

-2 Corinthians 9:10

In 2025 we will pursue our God-given mandate to reach the lost, evangelise our world, influence cities and nations, making the name of Jesus known and famous.

“Ask me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession”

-Psalm 2:8

In 2025 we will stand up, grow up and rise up to be ALL that God intended, for we KNOW that God is with us.

“And Jesus said to him, ‘If you can? ALL things are possible to him who believes’.”

-Mark 9:23

In 2025 we will walk with each other in faithfulness, work with God in faith and expectations and eagerly look for the return of Jesus knowing He is returning soon as the triumphant King. While we wait, we will actively believe that

“He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.”

-Ephesians 3:20

And we will continually CONFESS that

Jesus is Lord!
