eNews | Day 1 of Prayer & Fasting | Mon 3rd May '21
Dear e-News friends & church members,Day 1 Prayer & FastingThanks for joining the journey with us this week as we press into God for our week of prayer & fasting. We read:'When you see the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God with the Levitical priests carrying it, then you shall set out from your place and go after it. For you have not passed this way before...'- Joshua 3:3-5 These verses mark a moment of change for the nation of Israel, out of the desert and into the Promised Land. Two cautionary instructions are given.First, follow the ark for direction. We might miss the point on how important that this was for these young Israelites. We should remember that all of their lives they found direction from a pillar of fire by night and a cloud by day. And now it was gone, disappeared into thin air. Instead, they were to follow the ark carried by the priests. They were very well aware that this ark represented the very presence of God. We are praying & fasting this week for that presence. We know God is with us without a doubt. But what is He doing? Where is He going? Fasting is a spiritual tune in, an adjustment of hearing.Listen carefully this week - God wants to speak to you - God wants to speak to us.Send in any visions, prophetic words and/or any inspirational scriptures you feel relevant and timely. Please email: pa@destiny-church.comSecondly, to follow carefully since they had never been this way before. Again, this statement is more significant than it might first seem. Up to this point this nation had spent their lives going around in circles. Every few years they would recognise a familiar landmark, but this time the journey has a purpose, an end goal, a destiny, a new way for a new day.The world has changed forever - we have never been this way before and I can’t wait to see where God is taking us. For one thing, it’s always better than before. But it’s also going to be different. Church will be different. Ministry will be different. People will be changed all around us. So, this week we’re picking up directional signals, navigational signposts. We always have a clear vision; I’m expecting God to show the route.I for one don’t want detours or dead-end alleys. Fasting keeps us on track and on time. Expect God to make this week personal.Love you guys,Andrew[yotuwp type="videos" id="D48wuMpCrJo" ]Crowdfunding Page Church Online Get Connected Get InvolvedGive
