Dear e-News friends and church members,With so much talk about what we can’t do at the moment, I thought it would be timely to write to you today sharing on something that nothing can slow down, stop or hinder..Prayer!Here is one of my all-time favourite prayer promises which is as true for you as it is for me.

“Call on me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things that you didn’t know about.”- Jeremiah 33:3

Wow what an invitation!Have you taken it up recently?More than ever our world, your church, your family, your life, business or ministry needs you to be ablaze with prayer. One saint of old put it like this…

“When we depend upon organisations, we get what organisations can do, when we depend upon education, we get what education can do, when we depend upon men, we get what men can do; but when we depend upon prayer, we get what God can do.”- A.C Dixon

May I ask you today? What is your pattern for prayer? You may not know that we:

  • Have daily prayer on the Facebook platform Monday – Thursday at 7.15am, UK time.
  • Fridays we pray on Zoom and Facebook simultaneously at 7.15am, UK time.
  • Every growth group is marked by a time of intentional prayer.
  • Every ministry team is led by prayer.
  • All our ministries are covered in prayer.
  • We have a weekly intercession team.
  • We have prayer teams praying through every meeting on the weekend and on all platforms.

All of our weekend services - Saturdays at 6pm, Sundays at 11am, 5pm, 7pm and 9pm, UK time, are all hosted by a live prayer team on Facebook, Church Online and YouTube. So, if you are a red hot prayer warrior  - keep going! If your prayer time is a bit hit and miss, make a great decision today to get on track and stay on track with a daily commitment to time spent with God.If you are just beginning the journey of a prayer life, well done! You will never regret it! Prayer is best learned on the job – just get started and you will grow as you go.One last quote to help you get moving in prayer…

“Man is at his greatest and highest when upon his knees he comes face to face with God.”- M, L Jones

What can you be praying about? Here are a few suggestions:

  • For Gods will to be done on Earth
  • Physical provision
  • Protection from evil
  • To forgive those who have wronged you
  • For spiritual leaders
  • Government leaders
  • For those in authority
  • For a peaceful life
  • For those who share the gospel
  • For open doors for the gospel globally
  • For those who have recently come to know Jesus
  • For those who are sick
  • For believers who are struggling

Remember, we have a prayer line you can access 24/7 –praying4u@destiny-church.comBe blessed as you move into a life of fruitful, intentional prayer, be sure to let us know of any answers to prayer that come your way.One last thing,Jesus first disciples never asked Him to show them how to preach. They never asked Him to show them how to work miracles. They asked Him to teach them to pray. When He did, their preaching changed the world. The miracles that marked their ministries served as signs to those who were coming to Christ. And the prayer He taught them?He will still answer today!

"Our father, who is in heaven.Hallowed be your name.Your Kingdom come, your will be done,On earth as it is in Heaven.Give us today our daily bread,Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.And lead us not into temptations but deliver us from evil. For yours is the Kingdom, the power and the glory forever and ever"- Matthew 6:9-13

Amen to that!Praying for you!See you and those you are praying for at church this weekend.Craig
