Taking corporate fasting personally!
“Fasting is mandatory for every believer.” -- Nicholas Duncan WilliamsWelcome to our first week of prayer and fasting in 2020.Are you ready to fast and pray to see answers come and breakthroughs happen like never before?Every one of us can play a hugely important part in our corporate fast and every one of us can exercise our faith to expect things to happen at a new pace of grace. This week, (all the way to Sunday) each day we will send you an inspiring scripture, a motivating quote and note of what to pray for.All you have to do is decide you are up for it, and we know you are definitely up for it!Why not fast at a whole different level than you have before? If you’ve never fasted it’s not as hard as it sounds, just go without food and use the time you don’t spend preparing and eating for prayer instead. If you have only ever fasted by missing a meal a day, go ahead and fast the whole day.If you have done two or three days before, go ahead and believe God to go for four or five, if you’ve found five days doable on previous fasts, decide at the start of your fast to go for seven days – you can do it.Some fast just eating vegetables. Some only drink juices.Definitely drink water when you fast.Did you read the opening quote?Every believer can fast, have a look at this verse below, notice how it starts, “when you fast…” not if, when!“When you fast, do not look sombre as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show men they are fasting. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, so that it will not be obvious to men that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you" (Matthew 6:16-18)So go ahead determine today what you intend to do, say a prayer of commitment and let’s get started tomorrow on a week that will change our world.Be blessed,Craig
We look forward to gathering together on Saturday evening at the end of the week of prayer & fasting for a Holy Spirit Night as we also launch the Saturday Night service. Join us as we lift God's name high!
