Dear e-News friends and church members,“Wise as Serpents and Innocent as Doves!”That was certainly a new series title that caught people’s attention last week!Of course, it is actually a Bible verse, taken from Matthew 10:16:"Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves; so be as wary as serpents, and as innocent as doves."There are paths we have to navigate, decisions we have to make, pitfalls we need to avoid and thought patterns we need to be wary of - and that’s just the start!Thankfully, God has promised us as we press into Him, living as His ambassadors in this world that He will direct our paths. We should be concerned by lots of things going on in our world today, but we needn’t be overwhelmed by any of them.We do not walk alone.
- We have the Holy Spirit.
- We have the word of God.
- We have each other.
Now that is enough but that’s not all!All the promises and powers of God combine in our hearts to ensure we do not just endure an existence but live out our precious lives to the full. The message that kicked off the series of course can be found below.Part 1 | Wise as Serpents, Innocent as DovesJoin us for church this Sunday for the second instalment alongside of course some inspiring worship and an opportunity to say hi to each other online or in person if you have booked for one of the in-building gatherings.Book HereI know for sure this weekend is one weekend your friends will thank you for an invite to join us at any of our meetings in person, at both our Glasgow Southside and City Centre buildings at 11am & 5pm.You can join us online on YouTube, Facebook or Church Online on Saturday at 6pm and Sunday at 11am, 5pm, 7pm, 9pm.See you there!Craig
