Day 6 Prayer & FastingDear e-News friends & church family,
Who do you trust?
"May he grant you your heart’s desire and fulfill all your plans! May we shout for joy over your salvation, and in the name of our God set up our banners! May the Lord fulfill all your petitions! Now I know that the Lord saves his anointed; he will answer him from his holy heaven with the saving might of his right hand. Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God."Psalm 20:4-7 ESV
When facing a challenge, who is your support?When you are in trouble, who is there for you?When dealing with chaos, who do you trust?For us, the answer is Jesus, all the time and every time.The global church is facing problems we never even dreamed we could have. The world has realised just how fragile it is. In so much uncertainty, we need the powerful name of the Lord our God, on our side.It's in the name of Jesus we find strength.It's in the name of Jesus we find security.It's in the name of Jesus we find salvation.It's only when our hearts align with Jesus, can our desires be granted.It's only through Jesus that our plans, prayers, and petitions can be fulfilled.On day 6 of prayer and fasting, you may be feeling like you are in deep waters. If so, let me share this final scripture:
"When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you."Isaiah 43:2 NLT
You won't drown in a world full of trouble when you are in the troubled waters with Jesus.Not only will you swim, you will come out the other side stronger than before.As we face this court case, we face it with Jesus on our side.As we come through this pandemic, we come through it with Jesus as our guide.
