Dear e-News friends and church members,Day 3 of Prayer & Fasting
"He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love."- Ephesians 4:16 NLT
God has brought you here - wherever here is. He knows, He understands and He has a plan.That plan like Joseph (multi-coloured dream coat guy) who said to his brother after his father's passing was to save some.I believe that is our purpose wherever we are is to save some.
To be effective in this, God places us in a church family, a body where each brings growth to the other parts as they play their own special part in it.This is a huge deal as I cannot do what God has in its fulness unless you are doing what God has asked of you - both the general and the specific.When we walk along His path, He has set up places for rest, places for worship, places for putting your hand to a task, and of sacrifice and provision.God knows where you are and wants to help you take the next step with Him as He guides you.In the verse we have read above, we see not just attachment but fulfilment. Not an attendance but a commitment. Not an engagement but a meaningful membership.This is Gods heart for His church that we all would walk in and find our bullseye and it would see the kingdom back out afresh from our lives.So today as we pray and fast together, let’s pray into 3 things:
- The church to move forward from basic engagement to meaningful membership.
- Everyone bringing their gift to bear, i.e. where they are now - to bring a blessing and grow to all.
- The worship team to capture God's heart to help us grow as they fulfil their mandate - in songwriting, recording, and live worship so that the word that we hold on to as a church would be fulfilled - that our worship would resound around the earth.
