Prayer & Fasting Jan 2020 | Day 3
Craig Denham
Week of prayer and fasting day three: Wednesday
Fasting Brings Provision! "So we fasted and earnestly prayed that our God would take care of us, and he heard our prayer." (Ezra 8:23)I don’t think anything more aptly sums up the heart and spirit among the Destiny network and family of churches than our very first value…We are up for it!When it comes to successful fasting and disciplined prayer, being up for it is a moment by moment choice.We give up something we love (food) for something we love more.What is your “something you love more?”The salvation of a loved one?The healing of a friend?A breakthrough in business or the workplace?Look at these words from Andrew Murray"Prayer is reaching out after the unseen; fasting is letting go of all that is seen and temporal. Fasting helps express, deepen, confirm the resolution that we are ready to sacrifice anything, even ourselves to attain what we seek for the kingdom of God."Today as you pray for your personal answers pray also for;
- A large building for Destiny Glasgow to hold our flagship Destiny United events and conferences in.
- A permanent home for Destiny Glasgow’s West End location.
- Growth groups and Life groups to emerge in every region of Scotland.
- Our Hope and Healing meetings to truly impact communities.
Are you hearing God in this week of fasting?Be sure to let us know!Craig
We look forward to gathering together on Saturday evening at the end of the week of prayer & fasting for a Holy Spirit Night as we also launch the Saturday Night service. Join us as we lift God's name high!
